I currently bought a 16mm sound projector, i obtained some sound film to test
it out. It projects great, but the sound is kind of funny, I can understand
what is said but it sounds kind of like the people talking are garguling
water. Is this the projector or the film, and is there anyway i can fix this?
Thank you

The sound head is probably misthreaded.

The film should be fairly tight around the sound drum, with a little "give"
in the compliance rollers.

Oops! I don't know why this posted twice. I have been having ISp problems.

Anyway, the initial answer was Bell & Howell centric. If you have a
projector without a sprocket between the gate and the sound head, your lower
loop could be lost. This would apply to Kodak, RCA and some other machines.
In this case however you would not be getting a good picture.
