29.97 should have been 30. Part II

Hey guys.

So I screwed up day 2 of a commercial shoot. Got set to 29.97 instead
of 30. I found the recent thread where the same thing happened,
however I am still at a loss. Slate and audio are matched so thats
good. Post is reporting that that the system is trying to further pull
down the 29.97 and is drifting out of sync. Producer will have to pay
someone to manual sync. Is there anything I can do? I still have the
files on my mac. Widget is PC, not sure if it would help. Can meta be
converted after the fact?

I feel like a total clown. Any help would be great. Thanks guys!

FWIW, looks like an offline edit on DVCAM. Day 2 got an MOS transfer.

Phil,

Give WaveAgent for Mac a shot.

You don't say what machine you recorded with, but it should be able to
manipulate the BWav header info for any machine. That said, we have
heard some reports of problems loading Cantar files, which we are
looking at.

Once you run Wave Agent, on the bottom half of the screen you can see
all of the Broadcast Wave parameters that you can change.

Now import your files in the Files menu and select them all. Make sure
the "Preserve Start TC" box is checked and then change the frame rate in
the drop down box to 30ND. Once you click save at the bottom of the
screen you will see the Frame Rate for all the files change to 30ND.

Your file start time will remain the same, but the Samples since
Midnight start point for the file will be recalculated for 30ND and
written to the file.

Obviously only use copies of your original files--although I guess the
'Masters' are already at the post house...
