Hi everyone,

Starting a commercial shoot Monday using a Sony HDW-900....

Has anyone had any issues with interconnecting the SD 302 and this
camera? (yes I have to rec audio onto the camera...too bad)

And how long does the "RTN" have to be to reach the monitor socket? and
is it on the handle (I seem to remember something about this)

Thanks,

-Jason

Two ways to monitor, 5 pin xlr (line) or 1/8 inch in the handle
(headphone). A standard Beta snake works fine. If a PSC and a Mix Pre
will work, I'm sure the 302 will be fine. Get them to turn the limiters
off.

Wolf where's your commercial? ;-))

Yes I've done HD jobs w/ my 302. No issues interconnecting, and great
to be able to set up the return metering so you are seeing what the
camera meter is doing. I didn't use the camera's headphone out--I
used the 5 pin out on the back next to the input jacks. This works
better in that now you have both tracks returned seperately (not a
mix) and the level isn't affected by the camera's headphone volume
control.

Its hurting you in the pocket only:-)
The sound is good as the sound from dat ,the only disadvantage that you have
to keep eyes on the camera people when they disconnecting your snake from
the camera and dropping it to the flour(or mud) .

Use the 5 pin output .its better sound and you have the option to hear the
channels separately
