50's Movie

I am going crazy trying to remember the name of 1950's B & W horror
movie about a man who had no irises (his eyes were totally white) and
he apparently was an alien who had this "bat" type creature that had a
"skirt" body and could float over someone's head, land on it and kill
them. In the movie he kills 3 drunken tramps, and a vacum cleaner
salesman and a scientist. He placed the bodies into the furnace toget
rid of the evidence. Does anyone but me remember this movie?!

This is Roger Corman's Not of this Earth from 1957 with Paul Birch, Beverly
Garland, the ubiquitous Dick Miller and Jonathan Haze.

Corman has produced two remakes of this: one in 1988 (with Traci Lords) and
another in 1995. That last one there also has at least one sequel.
