Has anyone ever upgraded their 788t 160gb hd to the 256gb ssd? what
was the cost of the upgrade?

Just buy the hard drive and do it yourself.

I've done it and it's pretty simple. I'd be weary of going the SSD
route though. They seem to be slightly less reliable, surprisingly.
Unless you're crunching for room, or are having issues, I'd hold off.
