I have a hard time finding affordable 9V batteries in Paris, alkaline
or lithium. Checked tapages.fr, but they cost almost as much as a cup
of coffee on the Champs Elysees! Where do locals buy these kind of
things?

I've been charging $1.50 US per use and have not had one die on me yet and I
do not have a clue how many charge cycles they have been through. I try very
hard NOT to drain them fully and "believe" that increases the life span as
it had for my Lithium Ion NP's which I change out at every reasonable
opportunity and which have given me many years of use before they are spent.

At "BHV" mean "Bazar de l'Hotel de Ville" rue de Rivoli at Paris 75001
underground station "Hotel de Ville".
