In an offbeat Roland Polanski kind of way it is quite good, though from an
American horror perspective it probably is too tame and confusing for
most....It has almost an End of Days quality to it, though more cerebral
than action-oriented. It also has a really dry sense of humor that many
might miss.
Ther is an interesting analysis of the film in the book Fear Without
Frontiers, about world horror cinema.
