Post subject: Looking for ALGOL (my first post )

Thanks for the great forum.

A friend has been touting the German silent ALGOL...

I've only been able to find an email from one film teacher to another thanking the other for lending it to him.

Evidently it's about a miner who is given powerful alien technology to use for good ... Sounds fantastic.

Having seen HAXAN on TCM recently, I am really interested to see more SILENT FILM fantasy and sci fi special effects.

Notes about silent films...

My faves...

REGENERATION, HAXAN, THE GODDESS, THE PENALTY, TELL IT TO THE MARINES ( all Chaney ) METROPOLIS

I also turn the sound off if it's any of those brand new scores... which are all pretty much lame.
