The U.S. had nuclear weapons, which did not deter North Korea or Iraq.

Other countries have to realize that the US would not use nukes unless it
was in retaliation (to something they don't have). The deterrent is in the
use of a pre emptive nuke attack.

In my mind, "Interfering with free will" would constitute controlling
peoples' minds (like bending Bush's mind to make him withdraw from Iraq)
or
controlling their emotions (like what Bruce tried to do to his then
ex-girlfriend), or perhaps erecting a force field to physically restrain
people. Physically making nuclear weapons disappear would not do
either. No
person would suffer mind control, emotional control, or imprisonment.

At one point, after treating Grace to dinner, Bruce Nolan kneels as if
he's going to propose marriage, then tells Grace that he's been promoted
to anchor. Why would he kneel if he's not going to propose marriage?
Is is customary to kneel to announce a job promotion?

Bruce has God's powers. When he downloads his prayer request messages,
he tells his computer to grant all prayer requests automatically. But
how can his computer grant those prayers which would violate a person's
free will, such as "Make my wife come back to me!"?

The meteor Bruce summoned was still causing electrical transformers to
blow out a week later. Why didn't Bruce simply repair them all with his
God powers?
