Camlynx camera link.

For those who are interested here is a little info on the Camlynx
unit.....
I tried the unit over the last two weeks,the first few days I set it
up working along side my snake feed just to watch for the amount of
hits it got (the unit has an LED that goes from green to red when
signal is lost).
I then used it as the audio feed to camera and watched the camera
meter and the camlynx receiver meter like a hawk.I did all I could to
make the unit fail but was suprised as how good it was.
In interior situations it was flawless and even when I went though a
house and into the front or rear garden I only occasionally took a hit
(this was at least 8 to 10 metres / 20 or 30 feet).
On a gardening shoot in open air my range was fine as I didn't need to
park my bum in a chair and I was always close to the camera ( in
saying that, I would venture off in between takes to see how far I
could go and the range would I was getting was acceptable.
I also used to Camlynx at the live earth concert in Sydney and was
expecting limited range. We were set back stage and with the live
broadcaster,sat truck as well as more rf than you could poke a stick
at the camlynx was solid for at least 15 metres which was more than I
could say for the rf frequency I was given.
