Thanks ! And what about Robinson's works ? [I am sorry if I ask such basic
questions but I have discovered Chaplin very recently (well, I knew him and
I saw few movies of him but I was truly amazed when I had the opportunity to
watch The Kid a few months ago ; since, I have watched nearly all his
films).]

The Robinson books are excellent, if not as readable as _My
Autobiography_.
Certainly they are well researched and detailed. You'll probably want
the
latest (revised and augmented) edition of _Chaplin: His Life and Art_,
published in 2002, I believe, and available on amazon.co.uk., but not,
oddly enough, on amazon.com.
