Full disclosure: I co-wrote one of the essays, but even if I hadn't, I
would be trumpeting the second in the Chaplin series edited by Frank
Scheide and Hooman Mehran (the first was Chaplin: The Dictator and the
Tramp published by the BFI). The editors pack a lot of material in 220
pages: 20 essays and interviews by the likes of Kevin Brownlow, David
Robinson, Dan Kamin, Scott Eyman, Bo Berglund, Steve Massa, Glenn
Mitchell, Bonnie McCourt, Connie Kuriyama, the editors, and others.
Most of the articles take on different aspects of Limelight and its
production, with a particular interest in the collaboration between
Chaplin and Keaton. You can order it through
www.amazon.com (or
McFarland), but I noticed Amazon doesn't list the table of contents as
they do with some books. So I'm listing it here just to give you a
taste of what can be found in the book.
