As part of their free film series "Silent Slapstick," the Brooklyn Public
Library at Grand Army Plaza is going to be showing an afternoon of Charlie
Chaplin films.
This is how they describe it:
"Charlie Chaplin: Life on the Streets
Sunday, December 5, 2 PM
Four short Chaplin films about social class and homeless souls. Plus a Felix
the Cat cartoon."
Anybody care to hazard a guess as to what they'll show?
My guess would be "The Tramp," "The Vagabond," "Easy Street" and "The
Immigrant."
Hope some of you in the NYC area decide to go to Brooklyn (via the 2 or 3 train
if you're taking the subway) to see these films. The Grand Army Plaza branch
of the BPL is really worth seeing.

Classic comedy historian extraodinaire, Ken Gordon is the man behind this
wonderful and informative series. I'm privileged to be providing some prints
for Ken's programs - including a lovely Kodascope of POLICE.

There's always the possibility for a coaster.

Not with that hole in the middle. Trust me.
I see George's sympathy for censorship is rearing its ugly head again. ;-)
Lighten up, George. It's the best comedy I've seen since _Greek Wedding_.
If Dubya's re-elected, we can look forward to a sequel.
