May I add my "hope and desire for a better life...for ALL people"
(including those who happen to be Chinese). MA pg. 489. And I'm not
kidding. Happy Holidays (even you, George).

You forgot the "their" i.e. the Communist's
"hope and desire for a better life...for
ALL people." which strangely always seemed to mean a vacation in the
Gulag.

However, on the birthday of God's appearance on earth as the Prince
of Peace, I do hope that truth and justice
will prevail in the world, that
dictators, great and small, will continue to fall, and that here on amc,
we can
attempt a more civil debate of our
conflicting views about CC in 2004.

MERRY CHRISTMAS...even to Tom.

Merry Christmas, or Merry Whatever.

Not to mention open endings and limitless possibilities. :-) Amen.

A belated Merry Christmas (sorry, I was away) -well, let's just make it a
happy New Year. And, may I wish that none of you find yourselves listening
outside some drinking establishment's window to the faint sounds of Auld
Lang Syne as it's sung from somewhere within.
