Chucky to Slash at Big Screen Again?

HOLLYWOOD (Zap2it.com) - Watch out Jack, it looks like Chucky's back for a
fifth go-around. New Line Cinema is seriously considering purchasing the rights
to the character from Universal Pictures and filming a fifth installment of the
"Child's Play" series.
Although Universal, which owns the rights to the "Child's Play" franchise,
considered making another film after 1998's "Bride of Chucky," the studio
shelved the project, deciding it wouldn't bring in enough viewers -- or bucks.
The most recent film in the series features the demonic doll cutting it up with
the aid of a rubber girlfriend (voiced by Jennifer Tilly).
But now, New Line, the studio behind the "Nightmare on Elm Street" series, has
shown interest in Chucky. However, the studio first wants to see how some of
their other horror flicks, such as "Freddy vs. Jason," perform at the box
office before making any commitment, according to Moviehole. If that film reaps
enough success, New Line will consider reviving the moribund "Child's Play 5."
There is no word yet if the potential Chucky project might be the rumored "Seed
of Chucky."
"You know what? I'm tired. Why don't you just call yourself an idiot?"
