Our Daily Bread was shown on TCM in January 2007, an excellent copy.

Dear Bob,

Thank you for this post and for the opportunity to make some
suggestions.

Would you be able to screen the "Sisters" number from THE SHOW OF
SHOWS which was restored a few years ago in Technicolor?

I would also like to see MAMMY with its restored Technicolor sequence.

Any Clara Bow film would be welcome, especially some of her rarely-
screened sound features. I had indicated to you at this year's Cinecon
that I would very much like to see any Eddie Polo movie (even a
fragment) and a good Tom Mix silent western. (A Harry Carey western
would be very welcome too!)

I know they're "common," but would you consider showing a Laurel &
Hardy short? They are real crowd-pleasers and with the Cinecon
audience, they are twice as funny as otherwise.

I too am in favor of having a Preservation Panel. In order that it not
occur at the same time as a potentially interesting movie(s), perhaps
it could be scheduled immediately after, or even as part of, the
Business Meeting.

I personally am very interested in the "transition" era; if possible,
and if there are any newly-restored early sound films (shorts, part-
talkies, full talkies) or such films that have had only limited
showings, would you consider running one or more of them? I
particularly enjoyed the "Vitaphone" show that ran a couple of years
ago.

And, as always, please consider showing, as a favor to Roz, any Warren
William and/or Lee Tracy pre-code film.

Regarding serials, I know it's VERY common, but, after THE IRON CLAW
concludes, would you consider showing FLASH GORDON (Universal, 1936)?
For those who love this serial, it gives them an opportunity to see it
on "the big screen" with the best of all possible audiences; for those
who do not care to see it, it gives them an extra half-hour of sleep.

As always, Roz and I really enjoyed this year's Cinecon and we thank
you, Bob, as well as Robert Nudleman, Marvin Paige, Stan Taffel, Mike
Schlesinger, Stella Grace, and all other participants and volunteers
without whom Cinecon could not function.

Looking forward to Cinecon 44, I am,

Very truly yours,

Lawrence H. Bulk
