Tie Mics - Hi all, Im working on a budget for my OB kit for next year. I need some advice on lavaliere (tie) mics: Im looking for some mics that have a really small reception envelope so that the mic picks up (as much as possible) the speaker and only the

WTB: used mics - Neumann KMR 81I (2) MKE2 Lavs AKG C414 or EV RE20 Schoeps MK41 But will consider anything else you may want to get rid of. Thanks, JS

more on Pin-Mics - Just a few notes on the Pin-mic if you need to reduce the input volume to match your you can place a 1k resistor between the black lead and shield (signal to earth) and that will give you a 6db reduction or a higher value if need..

All are very good. Had a KMR 150 but the output was a bit low IIRC for
my tastes so I sold it and bought an MKH 50. never regretted the
decision. The 8050 is said to sound the same as the 50. If you can
find a good used MKH 50 grab it.
