Connecting Stereo Amp Into Home Cinema Setup

Hey All

Wondering if someone could give me some help on connecting my Stereo Amp
into my home cinema setup?

After moving over to home cinema i'm not happy with stereo music
playback so want to put my NAD530 amp back into the system. I've
connected the front speaker pre outs on my AV amp (Yamaha DSPAX640SE) to
the main ins on the NAD so the stereo amp can run the fronts in surround
sound mode and just use those two speakers when listening to CDs / tuner
/ turntable.

All is well with surround sound and it works great. However I receive
no output whatsoever from the speakers when trying to playback music?

Can't see what it can be. Obviuously nothing wrong with sockets as
surround works fine and i've tried the NAD / CD / Speakers on it's own
and that works too, just when the two amps are connected together the
problem occurs.

Any ideas greatly appreciated.
