I'm told that some old movies have been restored to near perfect
condition.
Which of the Charlie Chaplin feature movies on DVD have been restored?

Regards Brian

Chaplin's major films have been well preserved and available in good
versions
for some time. The Image DVDs (which are out of print but findable)
and the recent MK2/Warner releases are both high quality DVD versions,
with somewhat different virtues.

Of the earlier shorts, both the Mutuals and the Essanays are available
in excellent restored DVD versions.

Not all DVDs are good, however. Beware of cheap, multivolume sets by
Madacy
and others. You get what you pay for.
