David Mullen and Northfork - David, Great film with something I've always yearned for, a proper cinematic use of the wide screen.

Northfork - The third film I for the Polish Brothers, opens in select theaters on Friday. I got to shoot in 35mm with a process to the prints, so check it out. David Mullen

Kodak KeyKode question? PING: MULLEN, NORWOOD, DORSEY! - Group, Does Kodak KeyKode exist, already exposed, on the film from the factory? Or does the lab the edge numbers and such when it develops the film? And does Double Super 8mm (DS-8) have KeyKode? Thanks... A.N.D.

Congrats David - Haven't been here in quite a while but I notice the ASC added to your signature David. Might be old news but none the less. Evan Clements

I recently made a round-trip from Houston to SW Montana & return to pickup a
carload of used film gear. Coincident with the trip I viewed a DVD copy of
"Northfork", the "making of" bonus materials & Director's commentary.

Am curious about the time of year during which the 24 day shooting schedule
occurred. Also, the discussion mentioned a budget but indicated that it
wasn't funded! If it's public information I'm curious what was actually
spent on production & post.

Archived from groups: per prev. post (more info?)

We shot it in April/May basically.

Budget was around 1.5 million or so but not all of that was available
from the beginning due to financing problems of which I was unaware
while shooting the movie. The Polish Brothers talk about some of these
problems in their book "Declaration of Independent Filmmaking".
