Post subject: DeMille's "Carmen" in two DVD editions
Archived from groups: alt>movies>silent (more info?)

If we ignore the Passport thieves, there in fact two editions of
CARMEN out there, the Image one with THE CHEAT and one by Video
Artists Int'l of which I've never heard, but it sounds like a classy
DVD with the original score arrangements.
Can anyone suggest one of them as being significantly better?

hello!
i do own the dvd carmen released from image ent. i can say that first viewing on excellent made dvds are of great importance ror serious collectors.
DAVID SHEPHERD, KINO VIDEO, OTHER LESSER KNOWN ONES can be selected for your collections .
you decide which is worth: the short and cheap way or the moderately expensive and your lifetime way.
