Erlo folks,

I was wondering if any of you guys have come across any 'decent' ( I
use the word guardedly) websites for Film criticism - note that I
don't say 'reviews'.

I did some web searches for such sites but most of the sites I found
tended to be amateur review websites dominated by poor quality writing
and banal opinion ( 'this film is good if you like this sort of thing'
being the typical sort of thing).

I'm not a student looking to find a cheap thesis incidentally :-)

I watched 'Eraserhead' at the weekend and I'm looking for a little bit
of insight.

Hi there.

I haven't covered Eraserhead but I do provide fairly lengthy reviews of
similar genre movies at my website:

www.geocities.com/bigfatpav2000

Any comments or suggestions would be welcome.

Cheers.

Hi,

I am the webmaster behind www.futuremovies.co.uk and would recommend
it for decent reviews.

However I fined www.mrqe.com ideal for you. It lists reviews from
sites like mine when you search for a review so you can make your own
mined up.

Again I think everyone missed the point...

I don't *want* 'reviews', I want criticsm - a web/film equivalent of
'Cliff's Notes'...

I've seen the films, I would just like some interpretation and
analysis

Hmmm thats a bit unfair surely.

Surely there must be something alittle more insightful than that from
a film newsgroup!
