problem there is in the flashbacks the boat ran out of gas...

Were there any other boats tied up, that might have gas in them? Do the
zombies swim? Not trying to be cheeky, just thinking like a potential sequel
producer might. It seemed open-ended enough.

By the way, I had low expectations, and was pleasantly surprised by most of it.
I expect every horror movie to set itself up for a sequel these days, but I
think they could have ended with the sailing into the unknown, left a sequel as
a possibility, and still not ended on a (presumed) downer, which I think
everyone at the drive-in where I saw it probably missed as they were pulling
out.

I belive they died. With no gas there was no way away from the island, they
had no food, and it looked as if the zombies kicked ass...also the back round
music. Listin to the words of the song...

no...the lyrics to the song go..those are people that died. It's a song by the
Jim Carrol band. It came out a long time before the movie. Rent the movie The
Basketball Diaries to find out more about Jim Carrol or read one of his books.
