Dolby Digital Encoder Computer

After searching for solutions in PC side I noticed that most comfortable and
budget wise solution is to get
used G4 PowerPC Mac with Apple DVD Studio PRO software

I dont use macs, I use only PC's and when I need to use Mac again I have to
think few moments where eject or power button is since it is this time
located different place that in previous model.

But for 600USD you get decent dedicated used MAC from ebay and 500USD more
you get that Dolby Digital / DTS encoder + DVD authorization software
package

now DD encoder plugin for Nuendo PC is about little less that 1000USD,
Minnetoka (SurCode) DD encoder software is about same and all these takes
all process power making computer not usable during encoding (about 1-2x
realtime)

If there is dedicated computer for this task, then its ok that its a lot
slower since main computer can continue doing what is made for in 1st place.
And you can use that mac also for food receipe browsing even Internet
browsing is pain in the butt with mac.

And dont even think of using Premiere plugin for ac-3 encoding, there is
very stupid feature for LFE channel making. you cannot use own discreet
channel for LFE but you need to boost it from other channels.. stupid, can
it be this stupid?
