Bloody Nora you've had a sheltered life if you think flippers is a new thing
and an improvement at that!!!!
They've been around for ages and personally I'm not a fan, too easy to
bugger up one or both sides and can't see the point because you still have
to get up and flip the disk so just as east to put a second one in AND they
look boring by not having any cover art.

I have to agree...I've got about 200- 300 dvds and never come across one
before:)
They must be cheaper to produce ?
and quality seemed about the same..................I'm told if you wait long
enough they do turn themselves over

is it a DVD18? in that the film is one side and the extras on the other?

Or is it just a DVD5 with half the film on one side and then you have to
flip it midway through?

Well it is April 1st..I was hoping to wind a few more people up .but you
got it in one Jim !!!

But to reply to the others..its 3 and a half hours long .with about half on
one side and half on the other...
A great "made for TV " type serial with some good actors good dialogue and
a great insight to battle tactics in the American Civil war.
I for one would NOT fancy walking a mile over open ground in a line to
attack a well disciplined army of dug in confederate canons etc..the body
count was awesome in this war................and the way of fighting was
almost beyond belief even if the cause was a just one

See it if you can

2nd of a triolgy, 1st was Gettysburg(another flipper disc) third is The Last
Full Measure (not made yet but optioned by Turner). Some of the actors play
the same role in both films(Jeff Daniels), some actors play different soles
in both films.
Duval plays Lee in Gods, Sheen played him in Gettysburg. Duval was supposed
to play the role in Gettysburg but couldn't which was a shame as he is a
decendant of Lee's.
