I am a Kino customer. I just can't buy everything I'd like to see. And,
I'm sure others are in my situation. Making a film available on Netflix
gives a film exposure that it wouldn't otherwise get.
I wholeheartedly agree with Lloyd Fonvielle's analysis. A lot of people buy
a title from Kino when they want to add it to a collection. There are
others who may just want to see it when it's available from an affordable
venue.
In addition, I can't speak with certainty, but I believe Kino makes a
considerably larger profit when it sells a title to Netflix than when it
sell to an individual customer like me.
Thanks to everyone who is supporting my campaign. And, I encourage others
to post here to gain support for their request when they find a title that
Netflix doesn't carry. Netflix knows that a good portion of their profits
come from niche markets. So, I believe just a few requests can get them to
add a DVD to their inventory.
