"Does anyone know if Ed Gein ever saw Psycho?"--Denise Noe (5-8-04)

I know very little about Ed Gein.

PSYCHO (1960) is a sophisticated work of art by a master film directed.
Ed Gein was a cold-blooded, gory, brutal, deranged killer, and I cannot
imagine someone like that enjoying any Hitchcock film. I may be wrong,
though---maybe in his old age he would have enjoyed PSYCHO (1960).

I would either write to the institution where Ed Gein was incarcerated
or I would write to one of his biographers. They may know if he watched
PSYCHO (1960) on TV while in the mental institution.

No, actually, he wasn't. He killed apparently only one person; his main crimes
consisted of digging up dead bodies and, uh, doing stuff with what he found.
By the time he went into prison, he was apparently non compos mentos.
