Thanks all,
But I'm really most interested in the 4:3 letterbox stretch function. My
16:9 TV's zoom produces very ordinary results, esp. on NTSC letterboxed
DVDs.
I've had a good look at the online UK manual for the S35 (S75 manual doesn't
seem to be on the web site for some reason) and it makes no mention of that
feature.
I'd believe the manual, no questions asked, if it wasn't for the fact that
it also makes no mention of NTSC progressive scan, MPEG digital noise
reduction, depth enhancer, etc. Panasonic's spec. summary explicitly states
that some of these features aren't present on the S35. But then some of
these same features are explicitly mentioned in some UK web advertising for
this model (even sent one guy an email to check)!
So what do you believe? I really need someone who owns one of these things
who can tell me for sure what is/isn't available in terms of these features.
Cheers,
Brian.
