Frank,
Have you tried importing files using an ALE file for the Metadata and using
Cinema Tools to batch import or connect to the source BWF files?
I am told this can work but I am interested to see if anyone has tried it.
It seems that FCP has big problems getting the Time Stamp correct when
importing BWF files. I would like to know if this end-run technique of
creating an ALE file in BWF-Widget Pro and turning it in with the sound
files on the disk would be a good work around for importing of BWF files
with the correct time stamps into FCP 5.1.x? If so, what metadata from the
ALE is brought into the FCP project and connected with the audio tracks.
Track names, Notes, User bits? Roll numbers? I would like to hear from
anyone who has tried this method.
