In THE FLOORWALKER there's a scene where a janitor with a watering can
walks in pouring water all over the floor. Why is he doing this?

Thank you very much for answering. That makes perfect sense on a wooden
floor. It always makes me laugh when the janitor comes in with that
watering can. Then unknowingly wetting Charlie's pants from the rear!

I suppose it's a way of cleaning the floor during business hours,
without resorting to a full scale mopping.
