1 GHOST RIDER $15,250,000
2 BRIDGE TO TERABITHIA $6,180,000
3 NORBIT $4,310,000
4 MUSIC AND LYRICS $4,150,000
5 DADDY'S LITTLE GIRLS $2,975,000
6 BREACH $2,920,000
7 HANNIBAL RISING $1,520,000
8 BECAUSE I SAID SO $1,395,000
9 THE MESSENGERS $1,120,000
10 NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM $840,000
Well, I guess this proves that Tyler Perry is only a box office draw when
he's actually IN THE MOVIE, because it doesn't look like viewers want to see
a Tyler Perry "Presents" movie like Daddy's Little Girls.

"Alright, people can make fun of me all they want, I don't care! Okay? But
these pictures say something! They say that Jessica Hahn is nobody's robot,
alright! That she's not gonna be used and thrown out! Now, being used and
degraded in a hotel room in Florida was not my decision! But being used and
degraded on the pages of this magazine, that was my decision! Yeah! And I'm
telling you, that for the first time in my life, I am in control of being
used and degraded!" >> Stay informed about: FRIDAY ESTIMATES: Audiences orphan 'Little Girls' |

ummm.... Hannibal, like Silence of the Lambs, opened in February.
Red Dragon didn't.

Iirc, this $15m doesn't look great for a reported $120m budget.
Regardless, though, it's way higher than I would've predicted for a
movie that seemed to promise - and to have delivered - mediocrity at
best. GHOST RIDER's too insignificant in the Grand Scheme to mount a
box-office dropoff vigil... but damn, I wish it seemed harder to reel-
in the American public...

Nicolas Cage seems to really have a strange career, some films of his
will get great reviews and no one will see the film other films will
get bad reviews and people will flock to them, certainly this is true
for some other stars but it seems heighted for Cage films, at least to
me.
As to its BO I was surprised it did so well on Friday, I thought this
one was going to be lucky to make 15 million all weekend.

Yes, but Hannibal and Red Dragon were promoted like the Second Coming
(even Red Dragon *despite* the fact that Hannibal had already been the
franchise-killer)--
While this one seems to be promoted with "Uh..we just put out the book!"
