No one but DL knows...

Jacques explains why there's no tomorrow, and if you read the
FWWM script, a deleted scene explains why Laura is "the muffin"
(a huckleberry muffin, to be precise).

I always thought it might have been a French(-Canadian) pun, at least
in Jacques' mind; but I don't speak French, so I can't guess.

I do know that "fart" is related to the French "petard", because
early development of explosives in Europe involved manure, and the words
for fart and gunpowder charge were the same. So when Jacques fires a
blank into his brain with his hand, I think that's his stoner logic.

I found a website that says that there is a restaurant critic in the Twin
Peaks TV series called I.M. Went/
MT Wentz aka The Great Went.
Also that site, a Phish site concerning their concert that took its name
from TP FWWM line because
its site, the former Loring Air Force Base in Maine, is as far north and
east as you can get without being in Canada, that sounds like the Pink Room
(east).
Also, they mention the location, ex-Loring AFB, was the site of UFO
sightings and an abduction in the 1970s. Does that sound like the Twin Peaks
sub-plot concerning Major Garland Briggs disappearance?
