Post subject: Full Shock Treatment show w/ cast at the Tucson con!! YAYS!!!!

Here's the scoop:
There will be a FULL showing of Shock Treatment at the Tucson
convention this October !
YAYS!!!!
S.T. will feature a full live cast with the soon-to-be-released
Shock Treatment DVD on the big BIG screen, thanks to our good friends
at Fox Films and the Tucson convention people! This will be the first
time the Shocky DVD will be shown to the masses at a convention with a
live cast.
Casting is starting right away, seeing as how the con is so close.
As usual, Shock Treatment parts will be split up to allow as many
interested people to perform as possible, so if you have a passable
costume and know a characters part, dont be shy, send in a request to
perform soon.
( you guy's know the rundown by now: 2 Farleys, 2 Cosmos, 2 Berts, 2
Janets, etc etc. )
E mails can be sent in reply to this post or to the Tucson con/Heavy
Petting e mail adress.
The only requirement are a passable costume and basic knowedge of the
part you wish to play ( seeing as how Shock Treatment is not a weekly
thing anymore, we dont expect every costume to be %100 screen accurate,
but do your best! ) Casting will be open to the old time veteran as
well as the newbie, so dont be shy or hesitant.
Shock Treatment in Arizona at the con featuring the new Shock
Treatment DVD! That's the scoop form DTV news, and now back to Macy
Struthers and Ralph Hapschatt...

I don't know of Fox will have a vendor table at the con or not. I
would hope so.

Hardly, maybe a fraction of a fraction of a fraction of a small
percent at the best. I think that Sal and Dori and Gail and JudyAnn and
such have a better claim to the cinema history thing than I ever will (
>From FAME, of course. ). Oh, and Jodi from Las Vegas was in 10,000
Miles to Graceland, and that really cute Janet was on that TV show with
Barry Bostwick as a killer and...well, you get the idea. Plus, dont
forget NYC's very own Mad Man Mike, he was more involved with the DVD
commentary than I was :)
But, yeah, getting to see the DVD on the huge Loft screen will be a
treat!

Are the "Overture" & "Shock Treatment"(Richard/Nell version) end
credits the same as the VHS or edited(for time,or whatever)as they are
in the FOX Movie Channel version?
On FMC,only the back half of the "Overture" is played then it segues
into the "Shock Treatment" reprise which is cut off near the end.
They did that to "Rocky" too,as i recall.

Awesome. Wish I'd known sooner; I'll ask the husband if he is
interested in going to the con. We weren't going to due to all the
other stuff going on this year, but this might change his mind.

I agree Ruth. I wasn't even considering this con because they weren't
going to do Shocky, now I might change my mind!

(toungue firmly in cheek (no not that cheek)) Its not strictly the
first time the Shocky DVD will be shown to the masses at a convention.
I think we had that honour at The Denton Affair over here in Manchester
England back in may.
Still all the best its a fantastic copy and i cant wait to get my hads
on an american version so i can get that great chat track.
