| Anyone notice the appearance of the actual footage of the HUAC
committee of Bobby Kennedy sitting alongside Roy Cohn and Joe McCarthy?
You know, when the U.S. Senate censored McCarthy it was unanimous
except for one senator, who abstained...and his name was John F.
Kennedy...

Politically incorrect.
Clooney obviously chose footage that scanned over Bobby very quickly.
PLUS he didn't go out of his way to mention Bobby, as he did with Cohn.
And why not mention that Jack was the only one that didn't censure (sic
above) him?

Well, the story's not about the Kennedy brothers, is it?

I thought all the hurricanes this year were Bush's fault. Global

That's merely a side issue, unworthy of comment. The hurricanes were
Hillary's fault, no doubt about it.

Ted Kennedy, maybe. But the right wing loves to invoke the name of JFK
and Bobby to bash modern day Democrats. JFK, now, he was a
pro-defence, pro-tax cut real man, not like that clown Howard Dean or
that war coward John Kerry, that's the attitude, but if JFK was alive
and working today, they'd hate him just as much as they hate Ted.
FDR, they can't make their mind up about. Either's he's another real
man who got us through WWII, or he's the socialist tool who gave us
dependency on government, depending on the context of the discussion. >> Stay informed about: Good Night and Good Luck |

Don't forget the discussion about suspension of some civil liberties
when
fighting a war. FDR's record is useful in that context too.

The difference between then and now was that FDR curtailed civil
liberties to fight a war but Bush is fighting a war as a reason to
curtail our civil liberties. >> Stay informed about: Good Night and Good Luck |

You ever notice how people most interesting in defending the American
way of life seem eagerest to attack those things that create it.
