A funny thing happened when I saw this. In the scene where Ray Wise
responds to some comments about him in the papers, I sensed that he
could kill himself. Later on, he did.

Did anyone else have this response?

Sure. He was the character Clooney and company chose to show that what
Murrow and company did took a greater toll on some than on others.

Saw that one coming from a mile off. Same with the
suicide in Dead Poets Society.

Most movie suicides are well-telegraphed. Titanic
was an exception.
