Post subject: Good movie : Night of the Living Dead

Saw NOLD on tv last night. Well i only caught half of it. Its a movie
made in 1968 (almost 40 years ago!) and it was done in black & white.
(spoiler below)
Basically its a low budget movie about a bunch of people trapped in a
house fighting flesh eating zombees trying to break in. Not sure why I
like the movie but it was amusing to watch.
Its ironic the black guy who spoke with much authority and was leading
the operations to defend the house ended up making the worst decisions
that got people (including himself) killed. Meanwhile the obnoxious
fat white guy who recommended everyone hide in the cellar was right but
nobody listened to him. So the moral of the story is "don't turn to
the black man for decision making, he'll bungle things up and get you
all killed"?
For a while I thought the blonde girl was a zombee who would kill them
all after they had barracaded themselves in the house. But it turned
out she was normal.
How great it is be part of a cult classic movie. One's place in
history is assured. Long after you are dead, the world continues to
see you on the tube. |

I'd also recommend checking out Bruno Mattei's Night of The Zombies, as
that George Romero fella and some other guy called Lucio Fulci ripped
that off.

Ar you joking? You NEVER heard abou this masterpiece? It's on of the top 10
horror movies. Like if I recomend Metropolis from Fritz Lang saying "great
SF movie even if it's from 1927... Probably Variso will find both movies bad
comparing to 1990's horror movies (usualy remakes) (just joking V.)

I saw this other cool old black and white movie the other night. It was
called 'Dracula' from 1931. It's about this dead guy named Dracula that
drinks the blood of the living. They call him a vampire. Had this guy named
Bela something starring in it. Pretty scary..
Anyone else see this??

I also recommend watching Zack Snyder's excellent follow-up "Dawn Of The
Dead" which came out a couple of years back.
There was another film made called "Land Of The Dead" which was an

Well as a matter of fact, i was shown some rubbishey remake of Night Of
The Living Dead and the orriginal black adn white one and the old one
is the best, ive seen a colourised version of it too, [the black and
white one i mean] i thought that the colourised version was quite good.
Ive seen a lot of old black and white movies, including Metropoliss and
The Cabinet Of Dr Caligari and Nosferatu, i like the colour bits in
them, the vampire in Nosferatu realy frightend me, i realy like the
remake of that, [the colourr one] spesialuy the monks singing in that
bit of music near the end, well it sounded like monks singing, Kate
Bush has used it in one of her songs, its Geoargian apparantley.
Sombody told me once wot it was called and evrything, but i cant
remerber.
