Hi,
I'm wondering about a particular sequence of the GVS remake : when the
man falls down the stairs under the slashing, there's a faint image
(1/10 of sec) of what he sees. It's like a lamb or I don't remember
what.
Can someone tell me what it refers to and if it was in the Hitchcock
film.

TIA

Well, first off, it wasn't in the original.
As for what it means, I can only imagine that, since what we're seeing
(when we see Arbogast fall down those stairs) is Mother's point of view
and that she maybe sees the detective as like a lamb to the slaughter?
