HELP HELP HELP! AU SECOURS!

Some of you on this group may know me via my postings or my many
published for McFarland & Co, such as SYNDICATED TELEVISION (1989),
TELEVISION CARTOON SHOWS (1995), FROM BEAUTIFUL DOWNTOWN BURBANK:
A CRITICAL HISTORY OF ROWAN AND MARTIN'S LAUGH-IN (2000); and
THE BASEBALL FILMOGRAPHY: 1915 to 2001 (2002).

I have also contributed over 50 media-related entries for
Encyclopaedia Britannica, and until recently I was a primary editor
and author for the All-Movie Guide web service, which supplies
synopses and biographies to such companies as Blockbuster and Barnes &
Noble.

Note the word "recently": As of today, I no longer work for All-Movie
Guide, inasmuch as the company has divested itself of all freelancers.
I used to work for the company on a full-time basis, but was cut down
to part-time in January of 2002. Since then I have supplemented my
income as a substitute teacher in several Southeastern Wisconsin
school systems. Now that AMG is no longer an option, things are going
to be mighty tight in the Erickson household.

In the process of sending out resumes, it struck me that perhaps there
would be someone in this newsgroup that would know of any Internet
companies in need of freelance media-history writers.

Thus, I am submitting my name and e-mail address in hopes of making
some contacts along these lines.

This may sound desperate, but with the pop-culture writing market
diminishing, I am exploring all possibilities.

Thank you for reading this.

Yours sincerely
Hal Erickson
