Yep, I watched "City Lights" last night and enjoyed the hell out of it. It was
the first time I watched it with the Davis score playing (I had just checked out
some scenes before) and he did a great job in staying very close to the
performance style of the original.
By the way, our own David Totheroh had a birthday the other day too, and
depending on how he looks at it, it was a milestone one. Many happy returns
David.

That's one of those milestones you don't look forward to. I hit that
mark a couple of years ago. We're heading into LIMELIGHT territory!

It's not that bad. I'm havresting rocks and sand out of the creek and
building garden walls. Things could be a lot worse.
Thanks to both of you for the wishes. But let's not rush things any
more than is necessary. It's tomorrow.

It's high time to do something like that again! I'd even venture out of Canada
for it!

A belated Happy Birthday to Charlie and Happy Birthday to David!
Charlie has been part of my life since the mid-80s and David since the
MV event. Although David's no Charlie he does have his
moments :>)....

Ten exciting years. I've known David just a little longer than that,
since the screening of _The Gold Rush_ in Glendale.
Happy Birthday David (and of course Charlie, to whom I'm just now
introducing students in one of my classes).
