Does anyone remember a horror sci-fi movie from the 1980s
in which an alien monster similar to John Carpenter's "The Thing"
was ultimately defeated because the victim that it
consumed had cancer?
I recall that the alien creature somehow grew blobs of
flesh as food for itself. The alien may have looked like
some kind of arachnid. It seemed to have something to do
with an organic compound called, as I recall, "proteoin B".
This movie was shown on cable networks in the 80s,
and I remember when seeing it thinking that it's storyline
was a rip-off of The Thing.
Can anyone identify this film?
