Greetings, fellow Lynch fans. I wonder if someone could help me identify a
Lynch-type thing I saw around a decade ago, and for the life of me I can't
remember its name.

Please forgive the hazy recollections that follow, as I was usually stoned
when I watched it . . . . but I'll give as much info as possible.

In the UK, in the early 90's, Channel 4 (probably!) showed a kind of
miniature, tripped-out musical video featuring Julee Cruise doing a few of
her songs. The video accompaniment was hallucinatory, almost nightmarish.

I particularly remember one sequence which shows a scarey, gigantic
man/reindeer beast being 'walked' by a bunch of handlers. Later, when I saw
'Wild at Heart', I wondered whether the 'Mr Reindeer' character was more
than a coincidence.

I also remember one of the songs performed was 'Sirens'.

I have no idea how long it lasted; what it was called; or the 'why' of it .
.. . . I only know I accidentally erased the videotape I had made shortly
after making the damned thing. It's been on my mind ever since.

If I can get a *name* to go with the memory, I can make an attempt at
searching for it on the P2P networks.

Anyone?

Yeah, but he's dead. Get the Ouija-board out, and he may be able to help you
with your capitalization/punctuation problems. Heh!

Out-Lynching David Lynch - Oh my God. I just watched the most incredible movie. If you haven't seen this movie, go find as soon as possible "Santa Sangre", directed by Alejandro Jodorowsky.

The Directors: David Lynch (Sept. 4th) - For those of you who follow the Starz/Encore "The Directors" series, they've finally gotten around to doing one on Big Dave. It's a ways off - won't premiere 'til Sept 4th, but I got to view an advance copy this afternoon and I really liked it....

Dune - Well, I gave into temptation and watched the made-for-cable-TV version of Dune. I basically had a somewhat milder form of the reaction I had when I saw Adrian Lyne's (sp?) version of "Lolita." When you see it, it will make you appreciate Lync...

Kafka - I've read a lot of Kafka, but somehow missed "A country Doctor". Took a read today, I kept thinking of David Lynch. I wonder if others who have read that came to the conclusion that this is definitely a dream. A dream loaded with rich symbolism...
