Thing about Clooney. Lets be honest here, clearly some of his acting
skills are questionable but can someone honestly say he's been in a
bad film since leaving the ER series ( yes I know about 'Knight Rider'
and the Attack of the Killer Tomatoes').

Solaris was quietly superb and I'm glad it was made. This idea that
you can't like a film just because he's in it is a bit silly really.

I've not seen that one, to be fair. A quick search of IMDB brings up
the following:

Ocean's Twelve (2004) (pre-production) .... Danny Ocean

Intolerable Cruelty (2003) .... Miles Massey
Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over (2003) .... Devlin
Confessions of a Dangerous Mind (2002) .... Jim Byrd
Solaris (2002) .... Chris Kelvin
Welcome to Collinwood (2002) .... Jerzy
Ocean's Eleven (2001) .... Danny Ocean
.... aka 11 (2001) (USA: poster title)
.... aka O11 (2001) (USA: informal short title)
Spy Kids (2001) .... Devlin
Perfect Storm, The (2000) .... Captain Billy Tyne
.... aka Sturm, Der (2000) (Germany)
O Brother, Where Art Thou? (2000) .... Ulysses Everett McGill
.... aka O' Brother (2000) (France)
Fail Safe (2000) (TV) .... Col. Jack Grady, Command Pilot Group 6

Three Kings (1999) .... Maj. Archie Gates
South Park: Bigger Longer & Uncut (1999) (voice) .... Dr. Gouache/Dr.
Doctor
.... aka South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut (1999) (USA: closing
credits title)
Thin Red Line, The (1998) .... Capt. Bosche
Out of Sight (1998) .... Jack Foley
Peacemaker, The (1997) .... Colonel Thomas Devoe
Batman & Robin (1997) .... Batman (Bruce Wayne)
One Fine Day (1996) .... Jack Taylor
Curdled (1996) (uncredited) .... Seth Gecko
From Dusk Till Dawn (1996) .... Seth Gecko

Erm....

I forgot about Batman & Robin (and the perfect storm but even that
wasn't *utterly* awful).

[I feel a 'What have the romans ever done for us?' moment coming on]

But even within that list, there's at least 4 bone-fide excellent
films (admittedly some where he's NOT been the leading male role) a
few fine films and a few, at least, adequate films.

Of course, this makes no mention of his pre-ER CV, which should be
investigated with some care.
