The Invision shock mounts do their job well while recording a live concert
sitting still atop a tall stand.

DO NOT, however, put them in a bag loose with any cables. Their "grappling
hook" capabilities exceed those of the famed DB-25 connector (with screw
posts). They exceed that of fold-up headphones half folded up.

Drop these into a sandwich bag before throwing them into your kit.

The best thing to do is avoid the so-calwd "concert" in the first place.

Hi Oleg,

I've been independently beta-testing the Invision mounts for Rycote.

You have a point for sure. However, I found that if the mic stand is
in a situation where vibrations are being transmitted up the legs of
the stand (e.g. on a floating floor with people moving about, or if
the musician directly knocks the stand), the Invision mounts do make a
very noticeable reduction in transmitted sound coming through the
stand itself. In fact it outperformed all my other suspension mounts
(ranging from cheap ones off eBay, to Rode mounts, to AKG full-
suspension mounts.)

I certainly had a list of things I didn't like on the first batch of
the Invisions, but Rycote have listened well to the best-testers, &
most things have been answered with the most recent mounts received.

Best,

Jason

Oops, forgot I moved them. The INV6's were being used by the DPA 4006
(omnis) because of their greater bass receptivity.
