So after hearing about the new Ipower 9 volts batts. I decided to buy
a set. But they don't seem to fit in my Lectro IFB receivers. Anyone
else experience this ?

I bought 8 Ipower batteries a few weeks ago and so far have had great
success in Lectro IFB receiver R1. Getting about 5½ hours continuous,
which is only about an hour less than dry cells. Also getting 3½
hours in Lectro 411A Rx, which is 1 hour more than dry cells. 200
series Tx, about 4 hours, 1 hour less than dry cells.
So far none of the 8 are giving problems, nor is the charger (contrary
to recent thread regarding bad batteries and chargers).

I have a few Lectro IFB's that are a difficult fit and most are fine. Don't
know if it's the batteries or the IFB's which in my case are fairly early
serial numbers. . My understanding was that iPower decreased the size of the
batteries at some point so there may still be a few floating around in
unsold stock of the larger ones. In any event....I just shove them in and I
don't have too much difficulty shaking them back out. What they absolutely
will NOT fit in is my Scriptlinc TC transmitter.

Hi Simon,
You have much older batteries (1 yr+). See if you can get your money
back or get them replaced with the newer, smaller, higher capacity
battery. They are now a little smaller than some of the replaceable
batteries.

It's not the charge that is the problem. I use them in my Lectro LM
IFB TX no problem. But they physicaly won't fit inside the R1A
receivers. I've held them up, side by side to a "Procell", and they
do appear to be slightly larger then those batts. Maybe I have the
older stock. Anyone know if you can tell by the serial numbers what
stock you have ?

I've emailed the Richard@Ipowerus email address on there website a few
days ago, so far no response.

Thanks Larry,

On your advice, i went for a visit to the retailer who sold me the
batts. And after trying out a couple of different boxes of batts, we
found the newer smaller ones. He must have old stock, because some of
the batteries had a rating of 400 MAH.

Mega Amp Hour. Flipin 'eck, you'd never ever have to change a battery
again. B-)

Hi Simon,

You probably still have an out of date version. The MAHA NMH charger
will not fully charge
Ipower batteries. Please email or phone me with the serial numbers and
I will swap you the latest version.

Hi Dave,
All of our 9 Volt transmitters will operate down to around 5+ Volts.
The iPower battery will initiate its own shut down well before that
point, however. My guess is that charger is unhappy that the voltage
is low and doesn't want to initiate a standard current charge but
applies a trickle charge. After the voltage has come up, it goes ahead
and kicks in. The charger and the battery as a system shouldn't do
that. Almost any device can discharge the iPower battery until it cuts
off since few devices have a low voltage cut off. If we put in a low
voltage cutoff, it might shutdown in the last few minutes of an
important take, i.e., we want the transmitter to run every second
possible from any given battery, alkaline, lithium, or NiMh.

interesting reading the ipower spec sheet and it said not to discharge below
6.4 volts?????

Hi Dave,
That's why the iPower battery shuts itself down at that point; so it
can't be damaged by over discharge.

The Lectro transmitters run until the last erg is sucked from a
battery. Turning off at 6.4 Volts would mean shortening the run time
on an alkaline battery by 15 minutes or more.

I have 20 Ipower 9 volts, and just ran into an issue. I've got 4 that
just started flashing green and red rapidly on all chargers. They
show no voltage, or very little at the least, when tested. They don't
charge.

Any ideas Richard?

Thanks!

Me too.
5 out of 8 batteries are not working after a couple of charges.
I marked batteries and charger bays as indicated by Richard. The dead
batteries do not charge on other bays neither.
Serials are:

ST71502792
