Saturday, August 21: TCM is running James Stewart films all day long
and the list includes:

All times listed are EST

Rope 12:45pm-2:15pm

Vertigo 2:15pm-4:30pm

Rear Window 8:00pm-10:00pm

For Stewart fans, his films continue all night long into Sunday
morning.

Special Note to Mike Hewitt: TCM's listings (like many TV guides) do
no change the listing day until 6am on the following day. With the
clocks on our VCR's, TCM's "Silent Sunday Nights" is actually on at 12am
Monday, (EST).

That should explain my correction to the other post.

Damn! That could screw a guy up, couldn't it? I usually use my on-air satellite
guide days in advance to set the recorder to come on, so it would avoid that
problem for me. I just select the movie in the listing and then confirm I want
it taped/recorded.

I still need to figure out how to save the movies I've recorded off the DVR onto
tape. I can't seem to get a line out to a VCR. It all scrambles. Even better
would be to get them off the DVR-receiver and onto DVD. I read somewhere a post
by a satellite company guy who cracked the box on an old DVR-receiver, yanked
the hard drive and connected it to a PC. I'm sure I'd screw that up though. <g>
In the mean time, I've switched to recording them directly onto tape.
