I caught a snippet of a story on the news last night that "King Kong"
might be released in 3D due to new process they've developed for
turning regular movies into 3D (I always thought movies had to be SHOT
in 3D using multiple cameras, but apparently this is no longer the
case due to digital tech). Anyway, I missed the full story. Does
anybody know the details?

Someone actually wants to 'three-dimensionalize' old movies?
Wasn't 'colorization' bad enough? I thought that had died out..
Please, couldn't we N O T mess with old movies?

Forget about messing around with old movies, what about dead movie
stars? We've already had "Laurence Olivier" playing the villain in Sky
Captain and the World of Tomorrow. We're only a few years away from
computer sims of dead movie stars headlining in made on computer
movies.

You can say what you want about Ronald Reagan, but what is creepy about
Ann Sheridan? I'd take her over Ingrid Bergman any day of the week.

If you want creepy, how about "Casablanca" starring Ronald Reagan and
Ann Sheridan?

Or Humphrey Bogart playing The Gipper.

I was well aware of the pre-casting of Casablanca, though I learned
about it only a year or two ago when I rented the Casablanca DVD.
But it was obvious that the poster meant his comment to be an insult to

Reagan's acting ability, which I countered in the first way that came
to
mind. However, don't let that stop you from making more false
assumptions about me to bolster your sense of superiority.

And if you will allow me to head off your next false assumption, I'm
not much of a fan of Reagan the actor. I just don't enjoy cheap shots
taken against him.

No, unlike Reagan's original pre-casting in "Everybody Comes to Rick's",
don't think studios ever suggested Bogart the "Knute Rockne:AA" part...
