Post subject: King Kong's Spider Pit Sequence - spoilers
Archived from groups: alt>movies>monster (more info?)

Over the years the questions was periodically raised whether or not the
infamous(?) spider-pit sequence in KK was ever filmed. Well now with
the new DVD we know the answer to that question. Which leaves the
question: does anybody know why it was cut? Have to say, it's pretty
gruesome but on the other hand, it always did appear that the fall killed
all the men. But they seemed to have survived. Does stretch the plot a
bit too much? But one interesting point here. We know now why the men
when KK appears, don't run back the other way. If you look carefully, you
see that some of them see something at the other end of the log and now we
see what it was!
