Hi,

I have been looking for a new LCD. I am looking at 40" to 42". The one
that has caught my eye is the Sony KDL40W2000. This is a HD1080 modle with
1920 x 1080 pixels. It looks great! Has anyone any experience of this
model? I will be using Sky and DVD mainly, but want to make it as future
proof as possible (SkyHD etc).

Also, is the next morel up (KDL40X2000) worth the extra few hundred pounds.
I havent actually seen this in operation.

Thanks
TS

Depends, the main differences between the 'W' and 'X' models is the upgraded
video engine of the 'X' which also allows you to control the amount of
upsampling that the signal receives etc... I'd say if you watch a lot of
SD-DVDs, VHS tapes and standard TV (problematic material in other words)
then probably yes.
