What would be the best inexpensive pc software (and maybe the best to
compare to) to record audio via my laptop. Also what would be a good
inexpensive interface for hooking the mixing board to the laptop.

Got that, but didn't run on my mac (G4 17" 2g ram laptop) who knows
why...... i guess I'll just record on a 744t via 442 and back up on
SDX900...
Laptop playback - OK, I finally got a laptop (Dell 9100) and I am wanting to set it up for playback. This is a 3.2GHz P4 processor with 1G of dual channel DDR RAM. OVERKILL! Is the Digigram PocketVX still the best way to go, or how does the performance of a USB/Firewire....
laptop choice - any subjections for something around 12-13 inch with 512mb/ 80 gb at least that good for sound work in the field , dvd multidrive , long battery life beauty is not necessary but I don't wont something ugly as well :-) want to stay under 2 $k 10x -- ..
AD114 'laptop' mixer - I had the opportunity of using the AD114 mixer for a couple of hours. It was a nice experience. It was a simple shoot, two lavs and a boom. The mixer sounded good and was fairly simple to use without the manual, etc. Master fader had to be turned really....
laptop for filmsound and other sound :) - Ideas what kind of laptop does work best for recording and post work? Is someone familiar with newest laptops... I have already Emagic EMI2/6 for monitoring and recording and also 80Gb 7200rpm Firewire HD and some other stuff like USB based..
Any Laptop Spectrum Analyzers? - Hi, Anyone know of any devices to turn a laptop into a UHF spectrum analyzer? I've been looking, but so far haven't come across anything. Thanks, Billy Sarokin
