Field Venue
This is the bag version of the 6 channel Venue receiver. New low
voltage main boards are here and will allow the Field Venue to operate
to voltages as low as 10.5 Volts. We have tested the boards and may
ship a few in October 06.
That's from the FAQ. I was more looking for the size in cm of the
thing, is that in another FAQ ?

Hi Roberto,
I had the sales crew put the preliminary technical data sheet pdf up
on the web site. It's under the "Wireless Mics" link.

Hello Michael,
Yes Success!
I installed Parallel's desktop for Mac virtualization software on an
Intel Macbook (Non-Pro version). I created two virtual machines
(Windows XP Pro and Windows 2000); I was extremely impressed with the
performance. Lecnet 2 software runs beautifully. In the past, I used
virtual PC on a 2Ghz G5....Parallel is much faster.
In other news, Microsoft is trying to throw a wrench into using
virtualization software with Vista Home basic and Vista Home Premium
versions of the OS...what does that mean?....us Mac guys will be forced
to fork out $200 extra for Vista Business or Ultimate.

Intel chips have an integrated technology (VT?) that next version of
OSX will use to run Windows applications within OSX without the need of
installing the Windows OS itself. Sorry being so vague, I don't have
the time right now to find the correct info and sources.
But Parallels can be a good solution meanwhile...

Well..that still seems better than a company that won't allow it's OS to be
purchased and legally installed or run in any flavor at any price under
virtualization or on hardware they didn't assemble and profit from. That's
called the Big Apple Wrench and it has nothing to do with NYC.
In all honesty I doubt any Mac users are really interested in running a
different OS for anything other than a specialized application or two and
I'm betting that all of those apps are gonna continue to run just fine under
XP for more than their useful lifetime in our business.
And just for the record...nobody is "forcing" you to do anything. You have
chosen your platform and applications of your own free will. At least
Microsoft has allowed for the option of running their software under
virtualization. >> Stay informed about: Lectro Port. Venue |

Yeah Charlie. How come Apple won't sell me an OS so I can run Boom-Recorder
on my PC? I hate my life!
